Theater: 2018 Tony Awards Contenders

The 2018 Tony Awards are scheduled for Sunday, June 10 and there are a number of black performers and creative team members who are among the contenders.

Of course, it’s worth noting that there are some noticeable omissions from the nominations list, most notably choreographer Camille A. Brown who was not among the nominated choreographers for the Tony for Best Choreographer for her superb work on the revival of “Once On This Island.”

This Dance Magazine article rightly calls attention to the snub.
