Critics are weighing in on a special James Brown Tribute Concert sponsored by and performed at the famed Apollo Theatre in Harlem.
Called “James Brown: Get on the Good Foot,” the special concert, conceived and directed by Otis Sallid, featured a range of dancers, including members of Philadanco, in choreography by a wide assortment of dancemakers including Sallid, Ronald K. Brown, Camille A. Brown, Souleymane Badolo, Thang Dao and Abdel Salaam.
Right now, the show is only scheduled to be performed in Baton Rouge on Nov. 7, Atlanta on Nov. 9 and Los Angeles Feb. 14-16, 2014.
